HAPPY HAÜS STUDIOS | INTERIOR DESIGN
Our Approach
Aligned with Nature
We design spaces that harmonize with the natural world, integrating research based design principles to enhance well-being and connection to place. We select ‘healthier’ materials that are mindful of our impact on people and the planet.
Client-Centered Listening
We prioritize deep understanding of our clients’ unique lifestyles, aspirations, businesses, and daily rhythms, collaborating closely to deliver personalized designs that support your goals.
Sacred Spaces
Every design we create fosters tranquility and mindfulness, offering environments that support restoration, grounding, and peace.
Pushing Creative Boundaries
We embrace playful sophistication, continuously exploring artistic and design frontiers to deliver spaces that inspire and delight.
As arbiters of home, it is our duty to fight for shelter for everyone. 1% of our net profits go to fighting homelessness via The One Percent Project.
Hello! I’m Jamie Smith (she/her)
and It’s so nice to meet you!
I believe spaces can be healing. An intentionally designed room can soothe the senses, spark creativity, or help you feel instantly at ease- productive and relaxed. Whether it’s a treatment room, wellness center, or spa that supports the longevity of your practice, or a home that feels like a sanctuary, design is about creating harmony between you, your environment, and the natural world.
I founded Happy Haüs Studios to weave together everything I love — design, wellness, sustainability, and a touch of magic. With a background in bodywork, holistic health, and astrology, I see spaces as living systems that influence how we feel and move through life. When your environment aligns with your body, your practice, and the stars… that’s when the magic happens.
This isn’t just about interiors that look good (though they will). It’s about creating places that heal, inspire, and truly support you.

Land Acknowledgement
The Portland Metro area rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River. Indigenous people have created communities and summer encampments to harvest and enjoy the plentiful natural resources of the area for the last 11,000 years.
We want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities—past, present, and future—and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
We also acknowledge the systemic policies of genocide, relocation, and assimilation that still impact many Indigenous/Native American families today. As settlers and guests on these lands, we respect the work of Indigenous leaders and families and pledge to make ongoing efforts to recognize their knowledge, creativity, and resilience.
